I had a blast collaborating with Morgan, owner of Bomisch, and Anneliesse, owner of Spoon and Hook. Both talented gals are small business owners here in Asheville NC. We spent a rainy Sunday morning sipping mimosas & coffee while styling/photographing products in Morgan's cozy home. Stories

Thomas + Stefanie

They say rain on your wedding day is good luck. Perhaps it's because a wet knot is harder to untie than a dry one? I'm not exactly sure, but one thing I'm sure of is that Thomas and Stefanie's wedding day was perfect, rain and all! It down pored minutes before the ceremony & then it held off just in time for Thomas and Stefanie to exchange their vows and say "I do" in between the tall wet pines. It was romantic, fun and & spontaneous just like this awesome & adventurous couple! All their guest quickly popped open their umbrellas and followed the newly weds down the isle trying to beat the rain too. The sun eventually came out during the reception where food, drinks, tears, laughs and a lot of good dance moves where shared throughout the evening. I had such an amazing time telling Thomas & Stefanie's story through photographs. Here are a few of my favorites!

Jonathan + Stacy

I was honored to have been a part of Jonathan and Stacy's wedding day! It was all sorts of amazing! Jonathan and Stacy had been planning their wedding all the way from New York. Despite the distance, they did a pretty amazing job and it was awesome to watch it all unfold throughout the night. Here are a few highlights from that day! Thanks again for choosing me to document and tell your story!

Anthony + Morgan

Anthony + Morgan's wedding day was simply beautiful! After meeting them a year prior and having them tell me their vision of the day and then watching it unfold was exciting! Despite the hot & humid Michigan weather, they were still up to explore and adventure for their portraits! We even stopped at Yates (where Anthony proposed) for ice cream cones! The whole day was filled with emotions, laughter, tears and genuine celebration!
I'm very thankful to have been a part of it & for them choosing me to tell their love story!

Malyn

It was a blast adventuring around Detroit taking Malyn's portraits. I had fun learning about her hobbies and goals and what she wants to be when she grows up. :)
Not only is Mayln smart & beautiful, but she is full of puns and wit...she's puny if you will. ;)

Alex + Katie

I sat here for a good 30 minutes trying to figure out the perfect way to start this blog post and I couldn't. I'd type a few words, then hit delete. I sat here and stared at the blinking vertical line waiting for the words to come to me. To be honest, I think it's a good thing. Alex + Katie share a love so special that it's quite possible there are no words to label or describe it.
In an intimate backyard setting, friends and family gathered to witness Alex + Katie say their 'I dos', eat, drink, dance, play, laugh, and even cry. Everything about this day was pretty spectacular from each planned little detail to how the sun's light balanced on the leaves as the day slowly came to an end. I felt like I was in some sort of book or story... ya know, the ones you don't want to end. 
Katie + Alex, thank you so much for choosing me to tell your story. I'm so blessed and inspired by you both. Congrats!

Derek + Loren

Intimate Destination Suttons Bay, Michigan Wedding.

This.day.was.amazing! Derek and Loren's wedding day was about celebrating their love and the one's they love in the simplest of ways. Back yard games, live music, and BBQ at The Hop Lot in Suttons Bay, Michigan was the perfect location for this earthy, lively & authentic couple. I enjoyed so much watching their close friends and family celebrate them & life! Congrats to Derek + Loren & thank you so much for choosing me to document such an important day in your lives!
